How many units can be constructed in a given bridge?

There are no restrictions With the Hint-Els® Basis Software, bridges up to 14 units can be constructed.

Can bridges be constructed with a combination of full crowns and veneer crowns?

Yes, all combinations can be used.

Do you have to scan a mousse- or wax bite?

No, the opposing plaster model is scanned, just as with regular modeling in wax.

How many units of bridges can be milled or ground?

That depends on the material used. You can mill bridges up to 14 units with the “ hiCut “ as well as the “dmmX�, provided raw materials are used to withstand their great span.

Why do you sell raw materials as bars and sheets?

The more material has to be tooled, the longer is the working time. If you want to produce single crowns or small bridges, the bars are more economical, the raw material is completely used. If you have a full 14 unit bridge that is constructed like a bow, it is better to use the sheets.

What material can be scanned best?

Plaster. But the plaster used should not contain too many plastic components. If you want to use models made of composites, the plastic should be opaque and impermeable to light, the surface should not reflect.

Is Zirconium dioxide harder than Aluminum oxide?

No, Aluminum oxide is harder, but Zirconium has a higher flexible strength. That is why it is of value in dental technology.

What is the difference between Zirconia from VITA and Zirconium dioxide?

These are two different materials. Zirconia from Vita is an aluminumoxide - Zirconiumdioxide mixture. As it consists of only 30% of Zirconium dioxide, the material is an aluminum oxide with parts of Zirconium dioxide inside. Zirconium dioxide is a pure material.

How long does a milling process take?

This cannot be generalized. It depends on form and raw material as well as on the number of units processed and the number of tools used. The quality of the surface finishing is also important.

How much time is planned for training?

The complete system is learned in one week. Thereafter you can produce single crowns and small bridges made of different materials. From then on , it all depends on the daily use of the system. A technician who works intensively with the system, should be able to solve difficult cases within a two-month time period and be able to work with demanding materials, i.e. Zirconium. For this type of material, a separate training period of 2 days is recommended.
